Guess what? Fort Collins has yet another new microbrewery that opened up about four weeks ago. We read about it in our community magazine and decided to check it out. We met up with two other couples and had a fun, shenanigan-filled afternoon.
Funny thing is, I recently got my hair done and found out my hairdresser is now dating one of the guys that works there! Small town (read: thank god I am not single here). Black Bottle is very punk rock. The owner, Shawn, has been a home brewer for awhile and decided to open up his own style of brewery. (*Note, lots of the breweries around town are all hippie-ish with most of their employees riding their bikes to work {yep, even in the snow} and eating organic everything). Shawn is the opposite: tattooed with attitude.
As well as having their own brews on tap they also offer zillions of others, local and non.
Their menu is hilarious. You can buy a 40oz of Old English and it's served in a brown bag. The others you see there that come in a Solo Cup are beers like Miller Lite, Coors Light, etc.
They have a restaurant as well. This is the bacon man and cheese.
Sausage platter (gross, it wasn't me that ordered this).
Pretzel sticks (breads) that come with three mustard sauces. The grainy one in the middle is one they mix their beer with and was quite delicious.
The Old E in a bag. We couldn't resist.
Oyster shots. Again, this was not my order!
Bottoms up.
Mat and Kresta all gangsta.
Mat and Kresta being themselves.
We ended the night at a local pub called the Town Pump. Above was last order for the bunch. Man, that group sure does like weird things with liquor....what's with the pickled eggs? Gross. You know it wasn't me.

Looks like a very fun time!
