Dear 2013,

Let's be friends.

Unlike your cousins 2012 and 2011, I'd like to have a better relationship with you.

In honor of starting a new year, I promise to try my best to maintain optimism and not blame you every time I have a bad day. In return, can you please time dramatic occurrences a little better? For instance, if I have car trouble please don't let it snow 5 inches that day. Keeping things like that in mind would help.

I know we can have a great relationship if only we work together.
